1.00 lb Pinto or pink beans
5.00 c Water
1.00 md Onion, diced
1.00 ts Salt


Frijoles De La Olla (Boiled Mexican Beans) Recipe Instructions :

1. Rinse beans well. (beans do not have to be soaked
before cooking) Place bean s and onion in a large pot
with the water. Cover and simmer over low heat for at
least 3 1/2 to 4 hours ( alternatively over night in a
crockpot) 2. Add the salt when the beans are done
cooking.
